An electrical hazard such as Arc Flash can be devastating. In a fraction of a second, Arc Flash generates a wave of intense radiant heat that can ignite, melt, or break open a worker’s clothing, causing severe and sometimes fatal burns. Wearing the right Arc Flash personal protective equipment will minimize or prevent skin burns, while providing all four categoires of NFPA 70E protection.

Mitchell Instrument’s 40 cal Arc Flash Clothing uses Tecasafe fabric that is inherently flame resistant.  It’s FR properties will not wash or wear out no matter how many times you wash it.  Fabric is soft and breathable and it features a low thermal shrinkage which continues to provide full-body protection throughout the arc flash.  It is the safest and most durable and yet affordable to ensure overall safety of electrical workers.

Arc Flash Protection Hoods with integrated cooling system provides additional air flow and cools the worker. This unit is excellent in warm conditions or confined spaces. 

All standard Arc Flash clothing are manufactured to ASTM 1506-98 and complies with both OSHA 1910.269 and the current NFPA 70E.

Adding to your electrical supply are the Class 0 rubber gloves, which offer a high level of comfort and flexibility. Incorpotating high dielectric and physical strength, all gloves exceed ASTM D120. When doing electrical work, the Max Voltage usage on Class 0 gloves is 1,000v.
